This tour brings you into the southernmost portion of the expansive East and Southern African country of Mozambique. The city of Maputo is the oldest site of European settlement in Southern Africa. It is also the southern limit of the Arab traders that predated the merchant vessels from Portugal coming around the Cape of Good Hope. For centuries the country was nominally a possession of Portugal. Indeed Portuguese is still widely spoken and is still the language of education and business.

Day By Day Itnerary
It’s really beautiful. It feels like God visits everywhere else but lives in Africa.
Day 1: Historic Capital of Maputo
The Pestana Rovuma Hotel is perfectly situated in the center of Maputo next to the Botanical Gardens and the famous "Iron House"

Day 2: Maputo Elephant Reserve and road South to Ponto Do Ouro Beach resort
From your hotel room, you will have seen as a backdrop to Maputo Harbor the majestic sweep of the newly completed suspension bridge that crosses Maputo Bay

Day 3: A rejuvenating day at this subtropical beach resort
There is a range of optional activities available here at Ponta. We can book them for you and add it to the cost of your tour.
Sea Safari - Go with experienced sea ranger out to sea to spot whales, dolphins, stingrays, sharks, gigantic shoals of fish, many types of sea bird and of course the passing ships on their way to and from the Cape of Good Hope. Scuba Diving and snorkeling from beginners to advanced. This can include shark diving as this is one of the world's best locations for this activity. Deep-sea fishing trips can also be arranged. But of course you can just relax and enjoy the beach and which is free!

Day 4: Back to Maputo
After another morning on the beach or some other activity. We shall journey northwards back to Maputo getting there
by early afternoon or let us know if you want to add to this itinerary by going south to Zululand or west to Swaziland, both make beautiful additions to this itinerary.
